Recently, Tampa Bay celebrated it’s 6th annual fashion week with a week of fashionable activities. It is hard to believe that 6 years has passed, I remember being a volunteer the first year. The Tampa Bay Fashion week is working to build a weeklong lineup of fashionable events for Tampa. The first event I planned to attend was Cocktails and Couture. Melissa from Faith, Family Fashion and I discovered we live close to one another and decided an hour before that we would meet up and car pool. We met up and met in person for the first time. I get in the car with Melissa and as soon as I sat down I instantly heard that dreaded tearing of fabric sound. I say to Melissa , “did you hear that.” When I got out to check the damage it was much worse than I thought. The only thing that Melissa could say was “oh, my God Ariel.” My dress had split completely up the back. I was literally *insert word here* out. I was embarrassed to say the least. Needless to say, Melissa and I didn’t make the event and had a interesting first meeting.
The last event that wrapped up Tampa Bay Fashion Week was Blogger Brilliance at Channelside. Blogger Brilliance consisted of two blogger panels. One panelist was Megan Zietz from the TFdiaries. Megan and I also found out we live close to one another just as she is planning to move out of state.

Emerald green is the Pantone color of the year. Each year Pantone predicts the “it” color for the year and creates the Pantone color report of colors for the season. Over the next few weeks, I will be breaking down the Pantone fall color report and showing you ways to wear those colors for fall. Today, I am starting with the Pantone color of the year emerald green. If you have never read the Pantone color report, you can view it here. I always look forward to the release of the report the colors are broken down by designers that used the colors in their collections and it is complete with fashion illustrations.
